DescriptionBest build for Chapy, giving you both great agility and supreme firepower. Chapayev isn't exactly a better version of Schors, it is a completely different ship. First of all, it loses the extreme speed that soviet CLs retain since Kirov and it also has much worse concealment; full stop, downsides ended, now onto the upgrades: far better armor, in fact Chapy is easily one of the most armored cruisers at tier VII, once being stupidly broken, coated in 30mm, now having 26mm everywhere and 30mm deck, capable of bouncing most shells in the game; both can and will shatter all light HE shells with no EoP (except OPchakov); better stock range by 0.7km, more agile(lol), it has heals, and it has access to the 4th mod slot. It still has the same excellent guns with good firing angles and the overmatch-proof citadel. Destroyers won't be in your range probably because you have 11.7km radar. Play at range to your strenghts, so kite and juke shells with prop. mod, Vian will help you as well, while you benefit from your great ballistics. EoP isn't needed, it decreses DPM and FPM, only for gaining 32mm of penetration; refill station instead is basically required to play Chapy at her best, mostly because of the combination of range buff and shell velocity that allows you to lead properly even at crazy distance: for example travel time to 17km is just under 12s, Cleve will take instead ~14.5s stats with epic flag: reload time - 6s _ range - 19km _ with refill station - 20.6km _ shells to light a fire - ~15 _ speed 34.5 kts _ rudder shift time - 5.2s
