Best way to perform with this build - Take a kiting position immediately from the start of the game, as for some reason your rear firing angles allow you to make better use of your belt armor. Also, having concealment mod helps with getting yourself into a good position, as the poor turning circle and concealment makes it extremely risky to make a turn w/out being spotted and punished. Then, just farm your targets down. Let the fires burn (as Damacon mod 1 reduces the inevitable fire burn time), saving your damacon for only when you need it (triple/quad fires, multiple guns knocked out, etc.). Just farm any targets you wish, while throttle jocking and juking volleys to minimize dmg. Once you are clear to turn around, do so, and then help your team mop up. Now, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KITING AND HOLDING A PASSIVE POSITION. Make use of your range and good shell ballistics, but do not kite to the back of the map and put yourself in a horrible position. Go play an HE spamming cruiser if you want to do that (you'll be more successful).
TL DR; Hold a kiting position, farm broadside targets, know when to use the damacon, and most importanty, praise be to Russian Bias.
