DescriptionNelson's absurd heal allows most chip damage from AP to only be a minor concern. HE/Fire damage is almost completely negligible. That much we know is standard across the board. With the forward facing turrets, it is able to bow tank or angle easily - however, the main hazard for Nelson is her low armour. The bows being overmatched or plunging fire are the biggest risk, and even attempting to angle against some higher calibre Tier VII ships will do nothing to protect your citadel... William Tennant is your saviour, with up to 10% reduction in citadel damage. It won't protect against being focused down or sitting broadside, but when played sensibly the edge it gives by reducing non-repairable damage taken will be felt, especially when bottom tier. That combined with a high damage/high accuracy build produces a true nightmare for the enemy. (Standard battle - 62% win rate with this build on 293 battles, 124 survived).
